We will sit down with Sean Doyle - Director of Unscripted Content for EMEA and Lee Mason - Director of Scripted Content for EMEA to discuss…..What makes a proposal distinctively Disney+? and how Northern Ireland Indies can pitch to Disney+.

Sean Doyle

Director of Unscripted Content for EMEA

Sean Doyle is responsible for unscripted content for Disney+ And Star across EMEA, overseeing new unscripted projects and acting as EP for The Walt Disney Company on those projects in the UK.

Prior to joining Disney Sean was Deputy Head of Features & Formats at C4 and oversaw all editorial on More4, and prior to that he was commissioning editor at Channel 5.

Lee Mason

Director of Scripted Content for EMEA

Lee Mason works across scripted for Disney+, commissioning  for the Disney and STAR brands. Recent announcements include the return of The Full Monty, Rivals based on Jilly Cooper’s multi million best seller and Steven Knight’s A Thousand Blows. 

Prior to joining Disney, Lee was a commissioning editor at Channel 4, responsible for a string of high profile dramas including Ackley Bridge, The End of the F***ing World, Somewhere Boy, Help and Russel T Davies’ It’s A Sin, which became the biggest ever drama series on Channel 4’s streaming platform All4 after generating over 20m views.

Bronagh Waugh

Actress

Irish actress Bronagh Waugh is perhaps best known for her role as Sally-Ann Spector in BBC’s The Fall opposite Jamie Dornan and Gillian Anderson. Currently she leads the ratings hit ITV drama Ridley opposite Adrian Dunbar where she plays Carol Farman, a detective who lures her retired former mentor (Dunbar) back into service as a consultant detective to aid in cracking a complex murder case. She can also be seen in ITV’s The Suspect with Aiden Turner and Sian Clifford, ITV’s Our House with Tuppence Middleton and Martin Compston, ITV’s hit show Des with David Tennant and Daniel Mays and led ITV’s Viewpoint, playing Detective Stella Beckett. 

 

Other television credits include her debut acting role Cheryl Brady in Channel 4’s Hollyoaks, ITV’s Unforgotten with Nicola Walker, Warner Bros’ Supernatural, Netflix’s Derry Girls, SyFy’s Channel Zero, BBC’s C.B Strike with Halliday Granger and more. Her film credits include the lead role in A Dark Place opposite Andrew Scott, Axis with Sam Rockwell and Aisha Taylor, the lead in Entertainment’s One’s A Christmas Star and Miss Conception with Tom Ellis and Heather Graham. Bronagh is an activist for many causes including childcare reform in the UK, same-sex marriage in Northern Ireland & legalising abortion in the North & South of Ireland.
