Vinny Hurrell has worked as a radio and TV producer and presenter in Northern Ireland for over 13 years. His career has seen him work across multiple genres including news and current affairs, entertainment, lifestyle, chat shows, property programming and true crime.

Laura Marks

Senior Digital Commissioner, Channel 4

Laura Marks is Senior Digital Commissioner and Senior Operations Lead at Channel 4 and works across Original and Branded Entertainment content.  Laura has been responsible for digital successes such as Mission Accessible, Unseen Kingdoms, Nasty Neighbours, Would You Rather, How To Get Rich, The B@it, True Stories and The Boy Who Climbed The Shard. 

 

Laura previously acted as Nations and Regions Exec at the Channel, nurturing indies in the Digital, Entertainment and Comedy space. Previous to working at C4, Laura was the Commissioning Editor at BBC Three, working with independent production companies in the UK across all genres.

 

Laura was responsible for shows such as Big Narsties Lets Settle This, Supercar Superfam, Sex Robots and Us, The Naked Truth, Too Fat For Love?, Face the Consequences and The Comedy Quickies. She was previously a comedy producer with BBC Studios, producing Bafta nominated Still Game Live for BBC One, 3 Kids on Three, short form comedy strand Short Stuff, BBC Comedy Presents and Supernatural Square Go.

Maeve McLouglin 

Digital Commissioning Executive, Channel 4

Maeve started her career within Aim High, the Northern Ireland Screen and BBC NI founded talent scheme for aspiring tv producers.

 

After working for a number of years within both the development and production of factual entertainment shows, in 2019 Maeve was appointed as Youth Executive for BBC 3.

 

While in her role Maeve acted as Commissioning Executive for the highly successful BBC 3 docuseries Angels of the North on both series two and three, and has acted as BBC Executive Producer for a number of commissions for BBC Northern Ireland.

 

Maeve joined the Channel 4 Digital Commissioning team in early 2022 and is working across both branded and originals digital commissions.

Andy Brereton

Senior Commissioning Editor, Comedy Channel 4

Before joining Channel 4, Andy was co-Managing Director of Shiny Button Productions. The company produced shows such as King Gary, Murder They Hope, upcoming Amazon comedy film “Your Xmas or Mine” and Channel 4’s The Curse. 

 

Prior to that he was Head of Development at Tiger Aspect, creating the BAFTA winning Murder in Successville, Crackanory, Murder on the Blackpool Express and Drunk History.

Naomi Rose

Assistant Editor, Specialist Factual Channel 4

Naomi Rose, Assistant Editor, Specialist Factual, Channel 4 

Naomi has been working in broadcast television for over ten years and is Assistant Editor in the commissioning for Specialist Factual. 

 

Naomi has commissioned series such as The Last Overland, Hitler: The Lost Tapes and Helicopter Medics. Naomi has produced panels for television festivals including The Female Gaze and 50 Years of Pride at Sheffield documentary festival.

Jo Street

Commissioner, Daytime & Features

Jo Street is responsible for the brand new daily live Steph Show and amongst other things: Escape to the Chateau: DIY, Come Dine with Me,

 Four in a Bed & Countdown. Prior to joining C4 she spent 25 years at the BBC where she Commissioning Editor for Entertainment & Daytime.

Shows Jo has worked on include: Countryfile, Weakest Link, Homes under the Hamer, Money for Nothing, Eggheads, The Hit List, I’ll Get This, Antiques Road Trip, Getting Hitched Asian Style, Rogue to Wrestler and Test Drive.

Jane Handa

Commissioner, Daytime & Features

Before joining the Daytime & Features Commissioning team at Channel 4, Jane spent nearly 20 years as a freelance Camerawoman, Shooting Producer/Director and Series Producer.

 

Jane has worked with national and international broadcasters within the factual and factual entertainment genres on shows such as the BAFTA award winning This Farming Life series for BBC, Discovery’s Gold Rush and Channel 4’s Eden.
