Sponsored by BBC NI
Location: UpstairsTheatre
Time: Wednesday 16th November, 5pm
Are you looking to get into the film industry? Do you want to be part of Northern Ireland’s next generation of filmmakers - then join BBC Northern Ireland and Northern Ireland Screen for the launch of the eighth series of their hugely successful Two Minute Masterpiece initiative.
Launched in 2017, Two Minute Masterpiece has helped nearly 40 people realise their dream of making a short film. The films, some screened internationally at festivals across three continents, have helped propel a number of the filmmakers to award winning careers - with one of the films the recipient of a prestigious Celtic Media Award for Best Animation.
If you’re bursting with ideas and think you’ve got what it takes to be a successful filmmaker, then sign up and find out how you can get involved and what they're looking for this time around. Listen to a panel of previous Two Minute Masterpiece alumni and mentors talk about their experience in the process and watch some of the best films from previous series.
Featuring:
Marie-Louise Muir – Presenter
Glenn Leyburn – Mentor
Sorcha McGlinchey – ‘Rawr’
Sam O’Mahoney – Best Served Cold
Louise Parker – Weird Sister
Sheila Kayume – Being Black in Northern Ireland
Caleb Roberts – From His Perspective
